Bemy Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the Bemy mobile application ("Bemy", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use the app. Bemy is a personal pet health tracker for iOS and Android. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who runs Bemy
Bemy is built and operated by Beebles. You can reach us at beeble.ptyltd@gmail.com for any privacy question, request, or concern.
2. What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to make the app work, keep your data secure, and diagnose problems.
- Account information. Your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider). We never see your plaintext password.
- Pet records. The information you choose to enter about your pets, including names, species, breeds, birthdates, weight, vaccinations, medications, food, vet visits, photos, allergies, and any notes you add. This data belongs to you.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous interaction events such as which screens you visit and which features you use (for example, "logged a vaccination"). These events are tagged with your account's internal user ID but never include the content of your records (no pet names, no vaccine names, no notes, no email).
- Diagnostics and crash data. Stack trace, app version, OS version. Crash reports do not include the content of your records.
- Device information. App version, build number, operating system, and a stable anonymous device identifier.
We do not collect: your location, contacts, camera roll, advertising ID, or anything used for ad targeting. Bemy does not show ads.
3. Why we collect it
- Account information lets you sign in and keeps your data secured to your account.
- Pet records are the entire purpose of the app.
- Usage analytics help us understand which features matter.
- Diagnostics help us find and fix bugs.
You consent to the collection above when you tick "I agree to the Privacy Policy" at sign up. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
4. Who else sees your data
- Supabase (EU region) stores your account, pet records, and photos.
- PostHog (EU region) receives anonymous analytics events and crash diagnostics. Configured without session recording, ad network attribution, or tracking identifiers.
- Apple Push Notification Service / Expo Push delivers reminders.
- Expo / EAS builds the app; does not see your runtime data.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. How long we keep it
- Pet records and account information are kept until you delete your account.
- Analytics events are retained for up to 1 year, then deleted automatically.
- Crash diagnostics are retained for up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Push notification tokens are kept while your account is active and removed when you delete your account; older tokens become invalid as devices change.
6. Your rights
- Access and correct. Every record is yours to view and edit.
- Export. Email us; we will send a JSON dump within 30 days.
- Delete. Use Settings → Delete Account in the app, or email us if you can't sign in.
- Withdraw consent by deleting your account.
EU and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR.
7. Children
Bemy is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please email us and we will delete the account.
8. Security
Network traffic uses TLS, our hosting provider encrypts data at rest, and row level security policies in the database prevent one user from reading another's records. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will let you know without undue delay.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. For material changes we will surface a notice in the app the next time you open it.
